Kellogg Softball came out anything but soft to begin their league season with a pair of decisive wins over league rival Preist River in a double header held at Sunnyside Field in Kellogg on Wednesday, March, 19, 2008.
Kellogg won the first game 14-4 in 5 innings, and the second game 17-2 in three innings. The Kellogg bats were very productive, generating 33 hits and 31 runs in a well balanced effort from the offense.
Lauren Stewart was winning pitcher in the first game, giving up only three hits while striking out five. Chrissy Turbak pitched the second game, giving up only two hits and also striking out five.
Kellogg is 4-0 on the season.
